Energy Absolute Public Company Limited, or EA, is pleased to announce that EA Bio Innovation Co., Ltd., a company within EA Group, has received the Prime Minister’s Industry Award 2025 in the Manufacturing & Service of the Future category. Mr Chatrapon Sripratum, Chief Executive Officer of Energy Absolute Public Company Limited, represented the company in accepting the award.

This achievement reflects EA Bio Innovation’s capabilities in developing bioenergy technologies and innovations that can be successfully commercialised while creating economic, social and environmental value. It also serves as further testament to EA Group’s vision of harnessing innovation as a key driver of future businesses and supporting Thailand’s transition towards a low-carbon economy.

At the heart of EA Bio Innovation’s operations is the application of circular economy principles to clean energy development. The company transforms used cooking oil (UCO) into high-value bioenergy products and biomaterials, including Green Diesel, a biofuel that can be used as a drop-in replacement for conventional diesel, and Bio-PCM, a bio-based phase change material used for thermal management. EA Bio Innovation is Thailand’s first producer of Bio-PCM and currently records annual sales of more than 750 tonnes across domestic and international markets.

The company has also built upon its knowledge and technology to advance the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which is expected to play an important role in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the aviation industry in the future. Its biomaterial production process technology has also been granted US Patent No. US 11,674,096 B2, demonstrating the internationally recognised research and development capabilities of Thai personnel.

EA Bio Innovation places efficiency and sustainability at the heart of every stage of its production process. The company employs an automated Distributed Control System (DCS) to monitor and control operations around the clock. It has also developed a hydrogen recovery and reuse process that has reduced hydrogen consumption by approximately 40%, while the installation of a Variable Speed Drive (VSD) on its cooling fan has reduced energy consumption by 33.26%. These measures demonstrate the company’s tangible commitment to reducing resource consumption and minimising its environmental impact.

Looking ahead, EA Group will continue to advance the research and development of bioenergy products, expand market opportunities and foster collaboration with domestic and international partners. These efforts aim to strengthen the competitiveness of Thai innovation in future industries while contributing to Thailand’s greenhouse gas reduction targets and sustainable growth.
